Springs, Shocks, & Struts
If your car or truck makes excessive noise when traveling bumpy roads, or your front or rear end "bounces" after hitting a bump, your vehicle needs suspension attention. Suspension springs may last the lifetime of the vehicle, but shock absorbers and struts do not and eventually need replacement.
- Struts and Shocks
- Struts and shocks dampen the movement of your car's response to a bump or dip in the road, and also dampen vibration. When shocks or struts are worn out, they no longer stabilize the movement of the car and springs, causing the vehicle to bounce.
- Load Enhancers / Load Stabilizers
- If you drive your vehicle frequently on rough terrain, routinely carry a full passenger load, or want to improve handling on turns, a spring enhancer may be a good solution for you. Products like SumoSprings do just that.
An add-on to your current suspension, load enhancing springs assist your car or truck suspension by "tuning" spring travel and roll. They are affordably sold and professionally installed at Bill's Auto & Truck Repair.
Bill's Auto & Truck Repair would be happy to provide you with the cost for strut/shock installation and answer any related questions.

Wheel Alignment
Car manufacturers recommend wheel alignment every 6 to 24 months depending on the manufacturer and car model. For most car owners, this may seem excessive, so when should you absolutely get your car or truck wheels aligned?
- New Tire Installation
- Your old tires have been gradually misaligning your wheels as the tires wear. It's important to have your car or truck wheels re-aligned to manufacturer's specifications.
- A Car Accident
- Any collision involving frame damage will require a wheel alignment. As part of collision repair in the body shop, a four-wheel alignment should be performed. Make sure your body shop gets this covered by your insurance claim.
- Unavoidable Potholes
- Unseen or unavoidable potholes reek havoc on wheel components. Hitting a large pothole can bring a single wheel out of alignment without immediate noticeable symptoms, causing excessive tire wear.
- Replacing Parts for Steering or Suspension
- Replacing steering components or suspension springs will change the current wheel pitch. A wheel alignment should be performed where the parts have been replaced. If the front springs or steering has been altered, a front-end wheel alignment should suffice.
